For Front Office broker positions, a successful candidate is likely to have been broking a similar market for at least two years. A graduate trainee will have at least an upper second degree or equivalent and a second language.
For positions in the Back or Middle Office candidates will benefit from having some experience of banking operations; however, Link will consider individuals who show excellent ability and potential.
Successful applicants undergo an immediate training programme which is rigorous and demanding and will enable the broker ultimately to execute his or her role intelligently, confidently and accurately. The training programme is designed to last for six weeks (but the duration will depend on previous experience and the individuals’ ability to assimilate complex information) and focuses on two main areas: products and skills.
In order to build new businesses successfully we depend upon the careful analysis of new opportunities. We run incentive schemes for desk managers interested in setting up new teams and we welcome interest from individuals or teams working elsewhere in markets not yet covered by Link.
